The Bonica Family
Nancy J.S. Bonica The Bonica Family was founded on June 10, 1989. On that day, Nancy Jane Stark exchanged vows with Ronald P. Bonica at Colvin Run Mill in Great Falls, Virginia. The couple met in January, 1987. At that time, they both worked in The Pentagon and lived in a nearby high-rise apartment building. Nancy was employed as a graphic artist, Ron was employed as a telecommunications specialist.

In April of 1990, the couple moved to Sterling, Virginia, where they reside today. They were joined by Martin Lucius Bonica in August of 1990 and by Dorothy Ellen Bonica in February of 1992.

A description of our family would not be complete without mention of the pets. Elvis is an African grey parrot; Espio is a bearded dragon; Pacman is a rosie bourke. Both NewStar and Ruffles are guinea pigs.

Family Values

The Bonica family values loyalty, community, and inclusiveness. We share everything, especially during cold and flu season. Our nuclear family includes differently enabled individuals and we each bring  unique religious traditions to the family. Our extended family includes people from all walks of life. Our doors are open to the lazy, the hazy, the crazy and overachievers, alike. We celebrate human diversity.

Our Wedding Vows (lest we forget them!)

I take you Nancy/Ron, to live with, to love, to respect, to care for with attention and sensitivity, now and henceforth. We will all, verily, abide by the will of God.
